I'm a 20 year old student currently in to my second year in Carlow IT in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Games Development, a course that Microsoft fully supports and shaped so that students are fully trained to perform in the Games Industry and the Software and parts of Hardware Development out of college. This course has developed excellent students who have been in finals or won competitions in creating Video Game competitions. The most recent one is our 4th Years won the Quake competition, creating a game using their Dev tools and winning $10,000!
I play many games, mostly on the PC but some on the Xbox360 and the DS. I also play Warhammer 40,000 (thus explaining my picture). Currently trying to get through college without fail! WHILE LOOP FOR THE WIN!
Indrema inspired me to write a blog on writing blogs over the weekends. I think we should all write at least a blog. It'll be interesting and no doubt well written (mostly), seeing as it is coming from the Edge community.
What I'm most interested in, and I believe Indrema made a point on this, is that Dreamhunk should write a blog on the decline of console gaming. From the NES period to the consoles of today and possibly later on. It will be awsome, and it will include pictures and links backing up his discussion on explaining and backing up his points.
There has been a lot of talk on Cloud based gaming. With Fusion Render Cloud and the most publicised OnLive there has been a lot of talk about the future of the video game industry in terms of hardware development and retail.

Indeed! With Epic Studio, if I remember correctly, updating its Unreal Engine it could hint at another Epic exclusive game.
Believe it or not I knew the working environment long before I went into my degree. It's all still an exciting prospect of going through all that!
That face just gives me the creeps....
Well, Pachter has a point about profit on exclusivity, we're starting to see less of those around now.
Still, we're going on Epic's feelings on the matter on a thought of someone who has no facts to back it up.
Bugger, double post.
